Encirc/Vidrala recently hosted IPGR at their Elton site in Cheshire. IPGR are an independent group of glass business people who visit various glass facilities around the globe. The visiting party included representatives from Gallo, ORORA beverages, Vidrala, and other companies that are looking for best practice in the worldwide glass industry.

During their visit, they undertook a full site tour, which concluded with a visit to their world class training facilities. At Elton, they have built a dedicated training room for Virtual Reality training with technology supplied by VRMT. The room is fully wrapped with hot end images including an IS machine. Carl Reilly who is the Hot End Specialist for the Vidrala Academy commented “Last week in Elton, the Academy hosted a conference on training that was attended by the members of other glass companies in the IPGR association of which we are members of. We had visitors from Australia, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Switzerland and Croatia. The highlight of the two-day event was the plant tour of Elton where the guests were extremely impressed by the high standards in the plant and the new VR training room. Thanks to the many people who helped us successfully host the event”.
